Folkstone strange light and Sunglasses Filter

FOLKSTONE2colour11small

We stumbled across a strange beach in Folkstone with giant wooden fish and a derelict ferry terminal. The light was strange and so was the colour of the sea.

Falling

Broken Light Collective

Photo taken by contributor Fleur Alston, a 42-year-old mother attempting to document her family through photography. One of her children suffers from anxiety and panic attacks. It makes her feel helpless as a parent to see her daughter suffer from very low self-esteem brought on by a severe bout of bullying she encountered when she was younger. Fleur wants to help her children see how beautiful they are through her photography.

About this photo: “This photograph is of my daughter. The image is about immersing oneself in a landscape and making a link between yourself and your surroundings, and as such colour played an important role because the red of the poppies is mirrored in the red of my daughter’s lips and hair.

I also wanted to pervade a feeling of abandon and release, like falling…”

Revisiting Things

BeFunky_null_k

I found this image amongst some holiday photographs. It always pays to go back. I always find some new perspective or something I missed. This image is slightly magical I think.
